How often do you *observe* people playing chess? Rarely. (at least this
has been my experience in travelling) Yet you do not suspect that this
noble passtime lacks for followers; if you want to seek out a chess match,
you would look for a chess club, n'est-ce pas? Chess players are
especially well trained at this. Just so with Esperanto-- an Esperanto
speaker can find other Esperanto speakers during travels. There are UEA
delegates in 86 countries, and members in 115! And members of Pasporta
Servo arrange to stay with other Esperanto speakers, thus avoiding hotel
bills and the tourist isolation which most travelers suffer.

The language is well utilised by those who have learned it. That others
ignore or deny this does not stop its application!

Amike salutas vin
Miko.
