CRS Plus Inc.,
830 Harrington Court
Burlington, Ontario
Canada L7N 3N4
(416)-639-0086 (voice)
(416)-639-4248 (FAX)

manufactures and sells a 6-dof PUMA-style robot, model
name A460. This is now available with a transputer-based
control computer (C500), which can carry out position-feedback
servo control of the robot joints at 1000 Hz., and force-control
(using an ATI wrist force-torque sensor) at 200 Hz., and which can
also accept third-party TRAM cards for adding more computer power.
Reach is about 1 metre, payload about 2.5 to 5 Kg. Price is around
US$40K for robot plus controller. You can use Trevor Jones
as a contact there; he'll put you onto the sales staff---tell him
that I sent you. CRS Plus also sells gantry robots, manufactured
by another company (the name escapes me).
