LISP/C++  Software Engineer

Price Waterhouse, a major public accounting firm, is looking for a
candidate to fill a software development and maintenance position at
their Technology Centre in Menlo Park, California.  We are looking for
an individual to assist in moving well-advanced prototype systems into
fully deployed systems, coordinating their distribution and release to a
large multinational user group and performing ongoing maintenance
activities for the released systems.  Initially, the candidate will
assist in the further development, deployment, and maintenance of a
model-based system for analysis of internal controls in accounting
systems.  This system is a LISP-based application for the MS Windows
environment, but subsequent projects may require programming in C++ or
other languages for the MS Windows environment.  

REQUIREMENTS

  -- LISP and CLOS programming experience and good programming skills are
     essential.
  -- Experience with deploying applications into the field is
     preferred.
  -- Familiarity with MS Windows environment, Allegro Common Lisp
     for Windows and C++ is a plus and willingness to work with them a
     necessity.
  -- Candidate must be able to work with developers, domain experts and
     technical coordinators from the user community.

The position is full time with competitive salary and benefits.  The
work environment is a small but excellent research and development group
backed by the stability of a Big Six accounting firm.  While this
position involves primarily development and maintenance activities,
opportunities for involvement in research activities may be available
depending on the candidate's skills and interests.
