Hello,

Addison Wesley Longman Publishing plans to publish a book based on the
comp.object FAQ maintained by Bob Hathaway available at:

http://iamwww.unibe.ch/~scg/OOinfo/FAQ/index.html

The goal is to provide a comprehensive resource document that gathers
together and answers the most frequently asked questions about OO. The
existing on-line FAQ will be substantially expanded, rewritten, enhanced
and published in book form in the fall of 1996. The on-line version will
also be improved as part of this work and will continue to be maintained
and available. This effort is modeled on the popular C++ and C FAQs books
already published by AWL.

We are looking for folks with with practical experience in object-oriented
analysis & design, OO programming/langauges, OO databases, OO architecture,
OO project management and all other areas of Object Technology. We hope to
improve the end result with your feedback on the list of questions
addressed by the book. The review will be conducted via an exchange of
email and will involve ranking the questions currently developed in terms
of their usefulness/importance and providing brief feedback and ideas for
important questions the author may have overlooked. The list currently
contains approximately 430 questions, divided into 28 chapters. We will be
asking reviewers to complete this project in one week. We need at least 15
reviewers and are offering as payment one copy of the book of your choice
from our computer science publication lists plus $25. (See
http://www.aw.com)

If you are interested in participating, please reply to me personally
(angelab@aw.com) with a brief paragraph describing your OO qualifications
including affiliations. We will be selecting reviewers based on a mixture
of topic expertise, experience and first-to respond. Please do not respond
if you are reading this after 5/14/96.

Sincerely,
Angela Buenning
