The procedure for recycling beverage cans is simple. Both aluminum
and bimetal cans (all pop cans) are recyclable. Drop off your cans in
the large plastic containers at the collection sites.

	BEVERAGE CANS ONLY!

To recycle your glass bottles, place them in the appropriately
marked plastic barrel at one of the collection sites. There are
barrels for clear, brown, and green. Trash any plastic caps
	and styrofoam labels.

NO BROKEN GLASS OR SHEETS OF GLASS!! ONLY INTACT BOTTLES AND JARS.

Unlike the other items, the University does recycle glass.
David Redish is the SCS Glass Recycling Coordinator.
See his previous post for more details.

Only one type of cardboard is recyclable at CMU: corrugated.
This is the sandwich-type cardboard that has the wavy inner
layer. For example, the box that your TV, stereo, or VCR
comes in. Or a case of soda. No pizza boxes, please. (It's
the right kind of cardboard, but the food waste contaminates
	the recycling stream.)

The procedure for recycling cardboard is to flatten the carton
and leave it in the hall outside your office.. Make sure you remove
any non-cardboard packing material such as styrofoam "peanuts".

It will not be removed unless the word "RECYCLE" is written on it.
