The following is a message from Barbara Kviz of Environmental Health & Safety:

Friday, April 30th, at 12:15, in the main floor SEI (Software
Engineering Institute) Auditorium, the American Cancer Society will hold
the first class orientation session for the smoking cessation classes.

You will have the option to sign up for the following six sessions at
this informational meeting. Everyone is welcome to join in this meeting
even if you won't be participating in the classes.

The sessions will be sponsored by the CMU Environmental Health & Safety
Department and will be free to participants. The class is limited to 15
people.

We have 9 people who have given a commitment to attending the classes
and another 2 who have expressed interest. They will not hold the class
with less than 13 participants....please ask people you know who may
wish to participate.

If we get the 13-15 participants, classes will begin on Monday, May 3rd
at noon in the SEI or Physical Plant Building. The classes will be held
for one hour, once a week, at noon, for six weeks. More information
will follow.
