CORVALLIS, Ore. (UPI) -- Jason Kidd scored 27 points, handed out seven assists and grabbed six rebounds Thursday night to help 19th-ranked California fight off Oregon State, 67-61. The Golden Bears, who improved to 13-4 for the year and to 6-2 in the Pacific-10, won for only the third time in their last 12 games at Oregon State. Lamond Murray added 15 points for California. Kareem Anderson scored 20 points and Brent Barry added 18 for the Beavers (5-12, 1-7). The game was close throughout with California holding a 28-26 halftime advantage. The Golden Bears' largest lead came with less than a minute to play at 65-57.
