	Learning Technologies Department

The Miramichi College, a leader in new instructional technologies,
located in New Brunswick's newest city, is expanding its instructional
staff to  support its rapid growth in new technologies.
Responsibilities will include the preparation and delivery of courses
relating to several of the programs.  We seek talented individuals who
have the right combination of education and experience, together with
the drive and passion necessary to the development of a brand- new
computer-related industry.  These are full time instructional
positions on the first program assortment of its kind in Canada.

Position requirements:

#1 - Individuals with significant animation experience are invited to
submit a resum and cover letter.  A college or university education
in a related field, together with considerable knowledge in the design
of computer games are required.  Experience with such tools as 3D
Studio, Animator Pro, Lightware 3D, Alias, and SoftImage products
would be a definite asset.

#2 - Individuals with a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, with courses
and/or experience in AI, neural networks, expert systems, and/or EPSS
are invited to submit a resum and covering letter.  Preference may be
given to candidates with experience in the integration of AI into
business, industry and learning applications, along with experience in
LISP, PROLOG, and other AI languages.

For both positions:

Applicants should forward a complete transcript of courses taken, AND
INDICATE ON THEIR APPLICATION WHICH OF THE 2 POSITIONS THEY ARE
INTERESTED IN.  An equivalent combination of training and experience
may be considered for each position.  Written and spoken competence in
English is required.

Note:  Where the successful candidates are not teacher qualified,
pedagogical training will be provided.  When qualified, instructors
are eligible for a two-month non-instructional period annually.

Salary:  Up to $47,398 per annum, depending on qualifications.  Please
