NEW POSITION: Staff Programmer (Common Lisp/CLOS)                 16-Jan-96


Blackboard Technology Group is seeking a talented, energetic software
developer to join an R&D team working on blackboard and agent-based
technologies and individual application projects.

Job title:  
     Staff Programmer
            
Qualifications:
     A BS or MS in Computer Science and strong Common Lisp/CLOS skills
     are required.  The candidate will be expected to have:

       -- the ability to write efficient, understandable code
       -- the ability to work within a large application both as
          a member of a team and independently, with minimal 
          supervision
       -- substantial experience programming in ANSI Common Lisp
       -- familiarity with Common Lisp environments and tools (Franz
          Allegro, Harlequin LispWorks, Mac CL, etc.)

     Experience with GBB, object-based protocols, and integration of
     distributed applications is a plus.

Job function:  
     Primary responsibilities will be design, programming, and testing in
     conjunction with advanced R&D efforts and individual application
     projects.
