SOFTWARE ENGINEER

BBN Systems and Technologies provides research, development and engineering
services in the physical and information sciences.

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to participate in the
development and implementation of advanced client server software
applications for handling complex scientific data in a distributed
electronic environment.  These applications involve integrating modern
relational  and object oriented database techniques with advanced scientific
data analysis and visualization tools, innovative graphicaluser interfaces,
and WWW technology.  We are looking for an outstanding individual with
experience in building technical applications who canactively contribute to
the design and development  of new code, as well as the integration of
existing commercial software.  This position offers individuals the
opportunity to make significant technical contributions within a dynamic
development environment with extensive client contact.

Qualified applicants will have a BS/MS in Computer Science, or
aPhysics/Math/Engineering degree with excellent computer skills. You must
have strong programming skills with a variety of languages (including LISP,
CLIM, and C/C++) in a UNIX environment (X-Windows, Motif, etc.).
Applicants must also have demonstrated system development experience and the
communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a small
team with extensive
customer contact. Specific background and experience with the technologies
mentioned above will be a plus. 

Applicants must be US citizens capable of obtaining a  security clearance.
