   POSITION WITHIN	The position is for a Senior Software Developer to
   GENSYM		work on our core product, G2, a graphical object-
			oriented, multi-threaded, dynamically-typed, real-time 
			development environment that is used world-wide to 
			develop systems that monitor, control, and schedule 
			diverse and complex processes.

			The position is in our G2 Server Technologies Group
			which develops our object and runtime systems,
			including our language, compiler, interpreter, and 
			back-end emitter facilities for G2 procedures, rules,
			formulas, and simulations.

   RESPONSIBILITIES	The position requires an individual who can prepare
			design documents for new functionalities, communicate
			the impact of them to other disciplines within the
			company, implement the designs as part of a team, and
			provide continued code maintainence.

   REQUIREMENTS		The necessary qualifications are a degree in computer 
			science, development experience in a commercial software
			production environment, a working knowedge of Common
			Lisp and C, and an ability to communicate complex
			issues.  Knowledge of other object-oriented languages
			is desirable.
