is a known leader in the industry of knowledge-based software products and 
consulting. Brightware currently has several openings for knowledge-based 
software developers. The ideal applicant has many of the following 
qualifications:

Education:      Advanced degree in computer science 
Experience:     Building production-quality software applications, 
                working on team projects, knowledge acquisition 

Languages:      LISP/CLOS,C/C++, one of ART-IM,CLIPS,KEE...
Methods:        OO design, Rule-based expert systems, 
                case-based reasoning, AI methods, knowledge representation
Systems:        flavors of UNIX, Windows and NT
Other:          GUIs (X/Motif, VB, Windows SDK)
                RDBMS and SQL (Sybase,Oracle)
		Communications protocols (TCP/IP)
		GNU Emacs
		Solid written and verbal communication skills


Immediate openings for consultants are in DC,NJ, NYC and Charlotte NC.
Other Brightware offices are located in Atlanta,Boston,Chicago,Dallas,
Houston, and Novato CA. All consulting projects involve building
intelligent applications in Brightware's ART*Enterprise development
environment, comprising a CLOS-inspired object system, rule-based
inference engine, GUI builder and database integration facility.

Salaries are very competitive, benefits include 2 weeks vacation, paid 
holidays,401K, health insurance, etc.

CAVEATS:
1. Please note that experience in deploying production-quality software 
   applications is key, and that the projects do *NOT* present
   opportunities for academic research. 
2. Regretably and without exception, we aren't budgeted to recruit from overseas.
3. Travel to client sites varies from none to a lot.
