The Department currently offers a B.S degree in Computer Science and plans to offer M.S degree. We seek candidates with background in Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems, Databases, Programming Languages, Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, and Algorithms, Applicants are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses and in research. A Ph.D in Computer Science or related area is required. The Lahore University of Management Sciences is a premier institution in Pakistan. The University was established in 1985. It initially offered an MBA degree. In 1994, the undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Economics were added. The University moved into its modern new campus in fall of 1993. The Campus computing environment consists of a 300-node local area network that connects a host of 486-based PC's and PowerPC based Macs, and an IBM RS/6000. Internet email is available via UUNET using UUCP. We hope to have full Internet connectivity via a 64kbps satellite channel by the middle of 1995.
