PROGRAMMER/ANALYST


A vacancy exists, within an international corporation, for a Programmer
Analyst, to join an expanding interdisciplinary research team working on
the prototype of a leading-edge Concept Search Engine. In addition to
having, or approaching (in final year), a degree in Computer Science and
excellent skills in English, the candidate should have a strong interest
in computational linguistics or artificial intelligence. The main
technical skills required are :

			Essential:   C, C++
                                        	MFC and GUI development
					Windows NT

			Assets:	Relational databases
				Document management experience
				Visual Basic

While initially reporting to the Research Director, the
programmer/analyst
will be required to work closely with all other members of the team -
which includes cognitive linguists and lexicographers. For a suitably
qualified and experienced person, the opportunity exists for the
candidate to assume a 
senior position in the software side of the team. Salary will be
competitive 
and commensurate with skills and experience, and the company provides
a full set of benefits and an annual bonus plan.
