     VII VENEZUELAN NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
                           CNIASE'94
 
The VII National Conference on Artificial Intelligence CNIASE'94
will be held in in conjunction with the IV Iberamerican Congress
on Artificial Intelligence, IBERAMIA'94 in the campus of the 
Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela, from October 
25th to 28th, 1.994.
 
CNIASE'94/IBERAMIA'94 is sponsored by The Venezuelan Association
for Artificial Intelligence -AVINTA-, The Universidad Metropolitana,
The Mexican Society of Artificial Intelligence -SMIA- and the
Spanish Association for Artificial Intelligence -AEPIA-.
 
Conference papers describing original research and novel appli-
cations are solicited. The areas of interest include, but are
not restricted to:
 
                Automatic learning
                Connectionism
                Knowledge-based systems
                Knowledge-based simulation
                Intelligent tutoring systems
                Case-based reasoning 
                Knowledge adquisition and representation
                Genetic algorithms
                Virtual reality
 
Authors should submit 3 copies of their work, of up to 10 letter
pages in length, single spaced, including a title page with the
name and affiliation of the authors, address, telephone, fax,
email and an abstract not exceeding 200 words. Papers may be 
written in spanish or english. 
 
The papers should be sent by June 30, 1.994 to the president of the
Technical Program, Dr. Hector Geffner of the Universidad Simon
Bolivar, to the following address:
