Design Power, Inc. (DPI) is the leading supplier of knowledge-based
engineering solutions to AEC (architecture/engineering/construction)
and chemical processing industries. Our Design++ technology provides
order-of-magnitude improvements in speed, quality and cost of
semi-custom product designs. Design++ is being used to solve
Configuration, Layout Design, Proposal Engineering, Process Design,
Design Adviser and Routing problems, to name a few.

Design Power's Application Development team for the AutoRouter, DPI's
automatic pipe routing system, is expanding and is looking for
candidates to fill the following three full-time immediate openings.

JOB TITLE #1: SOFTWARE/KNOWLEDGE ENGINEER (2 positions)

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: programming experience (Lisp, C); two years in an
engineering discipline; hands-on CAD experience.

Desirable traits: engineering degree; commercial software development
experience, AI background.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include definition and implementation of core data
structures, algorithms, rules, and heuristics; implementation of user
interfaces to support new AutoRouter capabilities; CAD interface
programming; engineering-level documentation of new features; and
training of support staff and advanced users.

JOB TITLE #2: PRODUCT SUPPORT ENGINEER

QUALIFICATIONS

People-oriented personality with strong communications skills and
computer aptitude.

Desirable traits: engineering degree; CAD experience; piping design
experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for all pre- and post-sales customer support tasks
associated with the AutoRouter. Tasks include development of demos and
exercises for sales and training; development of training materials;
conducting AutoRouter training classes; creation and maintenance of
end-user documentation; and pre-release software testing. Position
involves travel, both domestic and international.
