Design Power, Inc. (DPI) is the leading supplier of knowledge-based
engineering solutions to AEC (architecture/engineering/construction)
and chemical processing industries. Our Design++ (D++) technology
provides order-of-magnitude improvements in speed, quality and cost of
semi-custom product designs. Design++ is being used to solve
Configuration, Layout Design, Proposal Engineering, Process Design,
Design Adviser and Routing problems, to name a few.

Design Power is now expanding its core product development team and is
looking for candidates to fill the following two full-time immediate
openings.

JOB TITLE #1: USER INTERFACE DEVELOPER

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of commercial graphical user interface (GUI) design and
implementation experience using C/C++ and/or Java on Unix and/or
Windows NT platforms.

Desirable traits: BS or MS in Computer Science; GUI implementation
using GALAXY; GUI Builder development; WEB-enabled Client/Server
application development; TCP/IP Socket programming; experience in
knowledge-based engineering.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include D++ user interface and GUI Builder
development; participating in D++ Client/Server model development to
support WEB access; supporting application developers in their GUI
needs.

JOB TITLE #2: CAD INTERFACE DEVELOPER

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of system-level AutoCAD (ADS) and/or MicroStation (MDL)
programming experience on Unix and/or Windows NT platforms.

Desirable traits: BS or MS in Computer Science; experience in
geometric algorithms/reasoning and solid/surface modelling; working
knowledge of Common Lisp; experience in knowledge-based engineering.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include D++ CAD Interface development; integrating D++
with new CAD systems; developing mathematical (geometric) functions
for D++ C/API and Lisp/API; supporting application developers in their
CAD interface needs.
