  We are seeking candidates for two Postdoctoral Research Associate 
  positions in the Computer-Aided Drug Discovery Unit at Pharmacia & 
  Upjohn, Kalamazoo, Michigan, to carry out research in chemical 
  informatics and data mining.  The research in chemical informatics 
  will involve development of new structure representations for use in 
  molecular similarity and diversity studies and for browsing large 
  compound databases.  Work in data mining will be directed towards 
  the application of new methods for data visualization and pattern 
  recognition of large datasets as a basis for uncovering interesting 
  biological relationships of potential use in the drug discovery.   
  Candidates should have a Ph.D. in chemistry or related fields with a 
  strong computing background or a Ph.D. in computer science with some 
  familiarity with chemistry.  Background in statistics is also 
  desirable but not essential.  Interested individuals should send a
