     INFORMATION RESOURCES, INC. is a worldwide leader in using scanner 
     data to improve marketing, sales, and operations for consumer packaged 
     goods manufacturers and retailers.  Its Research and Development 
     department designs processes necessary to collect data, to assure its 
     quality, and to generate the information that IRI's clients require.  
     These positions are currently available to new or experience ai 
     professionals, statisticians and management scientists:
     
     AI SPECIALIST
     You will be involved in the continuing development of our internal 
     expert systems.  Expert knowledge of the artificial intellitence 
     domain (expert systems, rule based systems, natural language systems), 
     expert knowledge of common AI based languages (PROLOG, PASCAL, C, C++) 
     and expert knowlege engineering skills (decision tree diagrams, 
     transition diagrams) required.  Knowledge of neural networks a plus.  
     Additionally, candidates are required to be skilled in application 
     development (structured programming techniques, knowledge of data 
     modeling, ability to follow/develop detail program specificaitons) and 
     programming skills (visual basic, pl/sql, pro*c, Oracle database).
