Dear Harry,
I wanted to tell you about my experience of boarding my cat with
Rosedale Kennels. The kennels are owned and operated by the Animal
Rescue League. I found the people very nice and caring about the animals.
The kennels are relatively clean. The dogs were housed in roomy cages and the
cats had their cages inside another room away from the dogs. Their hours of
operation are Monday through Sunday from 8am - 5pm, except holidays like
Christmas day and New Year's day. They are located at 6000 Verona Road in
Rosedale, and their phone number is 793-1135. Their fee for boarding a cat is
$4 per day...I don't know what the fee would be for a dog. They also provide
grooming service for dogs and cemetary service.
I have boarded my cat at the Cat Clinic and found them to be more expensive.
I'll continue to take my cat to them for her yearly shots, but Rosedale
Kennels, in my book, is the choice for boarding. My cat seemed to have
recovered quicker from her ordeal at Rosedale then she did when she was at
the Cat Clinic. I suppose that's because she doesn't care for the vet at the
Cat Clinic and has unhappy memories of her yearly visits to him.
If you have any questions, let me know.
     Maggie
