I looked through your files recently to see if I could find any
information on boarding my cat at a kneenel while I was out of town.
You seemed to be short of information in this area so I went out and got
some more for you. Here you are - enjoy!

Besides these recommendations, I also heard that the Cosy Inn takes
cats and lets them out of their cages to play. However, I also heard
they cost about $10 a day which is a lot for a student like myself.

Finally, I got a recommendation for dogs that the guy you list in
Greenfield who takes dogs in his own house is really great but you
better book ahead because he is often booked out.

ps. I found a friend to board my cat, so I can't give you any personal
tidbits about any kennels.

My Vet (Point Breeze Veterinary clinic) recommended:
  Quimby's Paws & Claws
    (Complete home Service Pet Care)
Pet Sitting, Free Food Delivery, Bathing/Trim, Pet Walking, Pet Taxi.
    Pet Supplies.

  Supposedly experienced/bonded. Phone number = 731 - 8410

You could try asking them about long-term arrangements/discounts.

I've also used the Golden Bone kenel -- it's way down Fifth -- Several blocks
past Penn. But they are expensive. And they leave cats in small cages.
But they do let the cats out of the cages to walk around for an hour or so
a day...

IMNSHO, a pet sitter is the best way to go. You could always try talking to
someone who works in a Vet clinic, and see if they want to make some extra
money on the side. You might get a better deal that way...

Phoebe,
I do not know where you live so this may not be an option.

I always board my dogs art the GOLDEN BONE at the corner of Washington and
Hamilton.
They love it there!

I haven't boarded a cat in quite a while, but I seem to remember a
"community" play room where they have time to interact with other
felines....Drop by between 9a-5p Monday thru Friday and check them out.

For inhouse care, when neighbors weren't available, I used East End Pet
Sitters - ask for Kathy .

Good luck, Mary
