  I have hade very good luck with an UNGO Box TL4000 (I think thats the model
 number) it uses a remote that couples (I think capacitively) through the
windshield, ie not radio. It has given me practically no false alarms, or
at least I never heard them. I have also set it off a couple of times and it
sure worked well. Definitaly get air horns to go along with the siren, they
are much louder and the sound can get out from under the hood, I think the
ones I have are made by Fliam (or something like that). Good luck
