He suggested trying a filter/fluid change ($39) to fix a slip in my '86 Cutlass, before doing the $700 rebuild. It seems to have fixed the problem. He was quite friendly, and spend about 20 minutes test driving the car to diagnose the problem. He knows about CMU's bboard system, so maybe he's extra nice to us. He's right next to the T stop (Fallowfield), so leaving your car there is convenient. He's right by a T stop, so you can get in to CMU easily. He rebuilt my manual transmission and I was very impressed - he seemed honest, competent, estimated high and came in low, let me come over while the transmission was apart and showed me what was wrong, the worn bits, compared with unworn bits. He's in the yellow pages under transmissions. Gave the best warranty I found. Definitely go talk to him. Nigel
