Subject: Stay away from Ted Mc Williams

DO NOT HAVE YOUR CAR WORKED ON AT Ted Mc Williams.

I am enumerating all the things I know are wrong with him.
1) The service manager is a nasty mean person.  He rarely returns your calls
and is very rude.  e.g. he was very insulting when I asked him for the
number of Volkswagen North America, to ask them about some recall work.
2) Their price is higher.  I paid $51 for a compression test which is $28 at
McGee Volkswagen.  Incidentally he had quoted me a price of $18 for the test.
3) They do very shoddy work.  On my diesel car he replaced the new
fuel-return hoses with old hoses. There are 4 hoses which  are in series to
return diesel fuel to the tank in my car.  Of these 3 were leaking a little
and one was gushing diesel fuel.  When I told the service manager about this
he attributed it to "Human Error".
4)They are plain dishonest.  I had 2 of my glow plugs replaced by them under
warranty.  They put in a one faulty plug which had a very high resistance.
Rather than go back to him I fixed this myself.

I hope this  saves a few people a lot of unnecessary aggravation.
							Sesh.
P.S. I forwarded a copy of this to Volkswagen NA.  If anyone
else had such problems why don't you to write to VW and close the guy down.
