These are the replies I got to my bb post asking for
good places to go for a wheel alignment. Haven't tried
them out yet...

I went to the mobil on the corner of murray and beacon, because it
was close to my place. They checked the front end and the tires
before they did it (at least claimed they did), and it cost $30.
If you find something better, I'd appreciate hearing, because
my front end tends to go out often.

(You might also try the Exxon on Forbes, just across the
bridge heading to Oakland.)

Erik.

It isn't very close but it's the best all around I've found. The place is Tom's
Tire on Butler street in Lawrenceville. They do good quality work, on schedule,
for a reasonable price and I've never had a single problem wiht them since I
started buying tires there several years ago. They do shocks and breaks and
such too. Mention that I recomended them, I'd like them to know I appreciate
the way they do things.

Paul,
I always go to Goodyear on Liberty Circle for tire/wheel work. They do
good work and are reasonably priced. If you have an American made car, you
might consider Lee Himmel's on Penn Ave. My boyfriend goes there a lot
and is pleased with them, but I don't think he's had an alignment done
there.

I've had very good luck with a small garage on Craig St. called Pro-Lube.
I think they are at 500 N. Craig. Give them a call. They are good and
their labor rate is rather cheap ($30/hr).

Bear Alignment; I think they're on Hamilton, not far from the intersection of
Penn and Fifth. Too bad they're not easy walking distance. I don't know if
they're the best, but they're real good.

Sears in East Liberty will do it for you. The 71B bus runs right by it,
too, so you can have it done while in class. Not certain about the prices,
though.
