In case you were thinking of it, do NOT buy a Ford Tempo.  Consumer Reports
gives it a much worse than average reliability record.  A friend has a Tempo
that will intermittently not start about once a week.  Despite almost weekly
trips to the dealer and replacement of large parts of the power train, the
problem has not been solved.  The car is also ugly.
