Dear Dr. Bovik:

This is the first time I decide to send you e-mail, I just wanted
to complain about a place HIGHLY recommended in the CS Guide to
living in Pittsburgh.

The story is as follows, my old Volvo (16 years old) was having some
problems in the steering, so as a new comer I decided to browse this
great CS guide, and I found out the recommended only one place for
Volvos, so happily and full of confidence I took my car to "Dean's
Volvos".......

After giving him a call, he gave me an appointment for two days later,
2 days later I dropped my car in his shop, he promised to evaluate
the cost, and give me an estimate this afternoon.

The afternoon came, and he didn't call me, the next day came and he didn't
call me, the weekend came and he didn't call me.....

Next Tuesday, I decided to call, I couldn't talk to him, but one of his
employees promised he'd call, nothing happened....
Next day I called again, and I could talk to him, well, he said the car
had been in his shop, and still they had not worked on it!!!!!.

On thursday I called again, and he told me they had done the reparation,
it was 300 $ and they didn't even ask me if I wanted to go on!!!!

On Friday I picked up the car, and I found out, this guy only wanted
cash, no checks, no visa ....only cash, thanks God he didn't want me to pay
him in gold or silver.....

I thought the story was over, but then it turned out, that in doing this
reparation the alignment was wrong, he told me that "whenever you
change this parts (in the transmission) the car is out of alignment...",
I told him, my understanding was that he should fix the alignment,
after all my car was OK (in the alignment sense) when I took it to him..

Well, he didn't agree with me, and after all I needed my car.

Dear Dr. Bovik (may I call you Harry?), please, tell the guys that
edit the CS Guide (a very good guide indeed) to have a look at this
garage, maybe my case was an isolated one, (hopefully) but it could be
that Dean's doesn't deserve to be in this guide......

Thanks a lot dear Dr. Bovik.
