Subject: Auto Glass

I need to install a windshield in my 85.5 Ford Escort, and so I called
up a few places to see how much it would cost. Here are the partial results,
to be added to the database:

Safelite has a new windshield for $136 installed (incl taxes)

It is possible to find a windshield at the junkyard for $50. Below
are prices quoted for installation of a used windshield. In all cases,
they won't give a warranty:

D & R Centre Ave	$50
Royal Auto Glass Forward Ave	$55
South Side Glass $48
Star Technologies $60
Wildwood Collision $55
Mylo $50
Sharpsburg Auto Glass $50
Chester Jim Rt 51 $45

Conclusion: Going through the hassle of a used windshield can save $30
for a Ford Escort.
