They have done 3 windshields on my VW Rabbit (they seem very vulnerable to stone chips). They will send a repair truck to where your car is (ie. here) but will have trouble doing a window in cold weather outside a heated garage. I can't compare them for price, but they are concientious. They guarentee their work, and, when I had a leaky windshield, came back 4 or 5 times to fix it at no charge. Eventually we fixed the mess by replacing the gasket around the windshield (it was never clear what the exact cause of the leak was). I bought the gasket, they gave me a new (tinted) windshield. Incedently, PA is one of the few states that won't pass a windshield with any cracks. Replacement is covered under comprehensive car insurance (or was, I haven't had one done since the death on no-fault). You might check if you are covered by insurance in part or in whole. I went there once to replace a side view mirror. They cut the glass themselves since it was a nonstandard size and installed it for $8. They did it while I waited (about 30-45 minutes). To get there take Forbes east through Frick Park. Turn right at Braddock (the first traffic light past the park). Turn left at the first street, Guthrie. They are in a small green (?) garage immediately on your left. Barb
