The complete pieces of mail I received are in inspect.txt on CMUC. - Tony Rosato says NOT to go to SEARS (East Liberty) or FIRESTONE (Baum). Mike Peshkin says NOT to go to SEARS and has a file full of complaints on them. Jim Muller's girlfriend says that CMU used to get their car repairs done at DOUG HESS EXXON on FORBES/CRAIG and stopped because they were getting ripped off. Note + comments on Doug Hess below. + Ellen Walker says she's always had good luck w/ DOUG HESS EXXON on FORBES/CRAIG "My car is 4 years old, and this year was the first time they made any repairs: they tightened the emergency brake for $7.50, and I could really tell the difference." (Some old mail in Bovik agrees w/ this, but note - comment above). Tony Rosato says he goes to AUTOMOTIVE RADIATOR on SPAHR in SHADYSIDE. AAA approved, appointments necessary and labor costs high, Fair. Robert Sansom says the place on ALLIES between BATES and SCHENLEY PARK will pass anything. (Bovik has 2 pieces of old mail that agree w/ this). Robert Sansom finds FORBES/MURRAY GULF reasonable. David Steier says PISANI BROTHERS in BLOOMFIELD seems reasonable for inspections, though they normally do body work. His car was in perfect shape at the time. Roger Dannenberg says BILL DOBRANSKY @ DYNAMICS SERVICENTER is the only person he's found who is competant, honest, and affordable.
