Seven years ago, I bought a new 89 GMC pickup truck from Benke Motors on
route 910 in the North Hills. The dealership sells Jeeps and GMCs. My
truck now has 90K miles and is still going strong.

When I bought it, I had a specific set of options and was willing to wait
for the truck to be built at the factory according to my specs. I did a lot
of shopping around among dealers, large and small. Benke (which is
relatively small) gave me the best price, with zero pressure to buy. It
took a few months for the truck to be built and delivered; I think a higher
volume dealer could problably have gotten it in for me sooner.

The new truck had a problem with the gear shift lever that caused it to
disengage into neutral. Benke immediately replaced the entire transmission
with another new factory transmission at no cost; this was a misdiagnosis --
the problem remained and they then found it in the shift lever.

Two years ago, the paint began to peel off the roof. I took it to Benke and
they told me that there had been a problem at the factory with a primer
batch. They had the truck completely reprimed and repainted for me at no
cost.

Since I bought the truck, I've been going to Benke for regular service. I
perceive them as honest, generally competent and very courteous. I would
definitely buy another vehicle from them, and will continue to use them for
service.
