  as Miles Barel said 'Tire America' does have good prices on tyres.
However at this time of year you might find yourself waiting there for at
least half the day before your tyres are put on your wheels.  Also they
charge extra for new valve stems and wheel balancing (other places include
these services in the price of the tyre).  I got reasonable service from
'Rubber Products Tire Co' down in the Strip District.  They charged me
about $10 more per tyre than 'Tire America' but included new valve stems
and balancing (for which 'Tire America' charge about $7-8 per wheel).
