I picked two establishments from the Bovik message file: Vince's Auto Service, 238 Spahr St, 361-9816 (talk to John) American Auto Repair, 5101 Liberty, 681-1081 (talk to Fran) Vince's estimated $145 + tax for the job, requiring 2-3 days. American Auto estimated $340 + tax, requiring 2 days. I picked Vince and left the car on the scheduled day. They wound up taking 10 days and charging $170 + tax; they said the extra $25 was for paint and materials, which I had thought were included in the original estimate. (In fairness, one of the small number of people who could work on it broke his arm that week.) They also neglected touchup paint on the painted trim. Clearly, I have no information on how long American Auto would have taken. On the whole, I am satisfied but not ecstatic. Mary
