It is a marvelous car! It will fit four average-sized people comfortably with a small amount of luggage (overnight bags, e.g.) or you can put the rear seat down and fit two people with quite a bit of luggage. The really neat thing is that it is quite easy to take the rear seat clear out. Then you have a considerable amount of room, and the limiting factor becomes the opening to get stuff in and out. I haven't compared myself, but supposedly the civic has a larger opening than the Rabbit, although I'm pretty sure my mother's '77 (+- a few years) Rabbit has a bigger one. Come to think of it, though, I can't imagine calling anything smaller than a Civic or Rabbit a station wagon, so I guess that makes them tiny. We bought our Civic used (it's an '80), and an added feature is the am/fm/ cassette player in it. It comes from Honda; I don't know what particular option it is. However, it is excellent as car stereos go. It hasn't eaten a tape yet, and we've used it quite a bit. That's more than I can say for my tape deck at home. -Steve Clark
