We bought a car from them a little over a year ago, and have had mixed results from the dealer. First, they do not take appointments, and tend to be busy enough (even now with the recession in full swing) that we almost never got our car back the same day. Their one redeeming feature is that they have a policy that if you bring the car in a second time with the same problem, you go to the head of the queue. This was very useful, since we had our car in 5 times for the same complaint (engine overheating). We currently believe that the problem was no more serious than leaky gaskets, so that doesn't speak well for their competence. One of those times was after the warranty expired, and they fixed it for free, with almost no hassle on our part, when we showed them the paperwork from the previous times. It is my feeling that they are pretty honest - they had several chances to soak me with extra non-warranty-covered charges and didn't take advantage of any of them. The only lie that I have caught them in is that once the manager told me that the car was 'almost ready' (after it had been in for 3 days) and the mechanic told me 20 minutes later that he hadn't even started on it. On an absolute scale I would call them mediocre, but from some of the other horror tales I have heard from friends, it may be that you can't do a lot better than this in Pittsburgh. robin jeffries
