I have owned an '83 Dodge Omni for a year. Problems: none serious; in cold
weather, there was some short-out blowing a fuse related to the dashboard and
so I couldn't read my gas gauge. (This happened twice.) Very comfortable car
for drivers and passengers; there is even lots of headroom. My regular-size
engine (1.6L) sometimes has trouble with Western Pa. hills; the larger-size
engine (2.2L) might be better. Always gets more than 20 mpg and on highway
trips closer to 30. My parents own an older Plymouth Horizon, which is more
or less the same car, and they likewise report great satisfaction.
