I recommend Cochran-West (in Moon, out towards the airport,
Montour Run exit) as a new car dealer. In particular, the salesman,
Bill Hurley, was very helpful in our search for the right car at the
right price.

We knew we wanted a Suburban (the biggest passenger vehicle made with
"Greyhound" painted on the side), with captains chairs in from, two
rows of bench seats, 4-wheel drive, etc. etc....

Anyway, we drove one (at another dealer) and liked it a lot, but the
salesman said Suburbans were really rare, so it was the dealership's
policy that they do NOT discount - we would have to pay full sticker
price. So we left THAT dealership!

After that, I called 12 Chevy & GMC Truck dealers in the Pittsburgh
phone book. There were only 5 Suburbans, total, at those 12 dealers -
well, the rare part wasn't a lie. I also spoke to a friend's father
who manages a Chevy dealership and he told me that nobody was discounting
now because of the rarity, and that I should wait until late summer when
they will be more plentiful and folks would be dealing.

Anyway, I spoke to Bill Hurley on the phone and he had the car we wanted.
I asked him right out whether it was also his dealer's policy not to
discount Suburbans. He said they would be willing to deal. So we went out
to see him. And we eventually walked away with a deal substantially less
than list price. We were happy, he was happy (and they all lived happily
ever after...).

So if you want a good deal, go to Cochran-West and talk to Bill. They deal
even when nobody else will.
