I got estimates from a number of places, the best was: Dr. Glass 1805 Saw Mill Run Blvd, Pgh Pa 15210 412-822-1199 Call to get an estimate and make an appointment. They will pretty much beat anyone's new glass replacement prices, and for small cracks they can repair the glass, guaranteeing it passes state inspection. You may be able to do better if you find a used piece of glass for your car (God knows how, maybe at a junkyard or this or another auto glass place) and get it installed somewhere. To get to Dr. Glass, go through the Liberty Tubes, make a left at the light (Saw Mill Run), go about 2 miles until you go under a black bridge. Dr. Glass is on the left. The job took about an hour; they have a waiting room with a TV, a radio, a toilet, and what supiciously seems to be a one way mirror that they use for watching the customers watch TV. If the room makes you nervous, there's a CoGo's and a Bar/Grill less than a block away that you can kill some time in. The doc charged me $150, including tax. There's a coupon in the back of the yellow pages) that I didn't try to use, possibly good for another $10. There are two other places (also on Saw Mill Run, I believe) that gave me reasonable estimates (within $25 of Dr. Glass). They are "West Liberty Glass" and another place whose name begins with S (thy have a big add in the yellow pages). Dean
