Subject: Re: Recommendations for Muffler Fix
Date: 2 Jul 90 13:35:28 GMT

I took my Datsun to the Midas over on Boulevard of the Allies, and was
happy with the work they did. I got the premuffler (which is basically
a little muffler where the catalytic would be) replaced, which cost
about $60. They were very quick and reasonably courteous, and the
mechanic described exactly what he was going to do, and how much it
would cost, before he did anything (which was good, since he was about
to replace a new connector pipe instead of using a adaptor collar.)
Basically, if you already know how to do it, they're a good deal. If
you don't, you'll pay more for the same job.

Good luck,
Dan
