Subject: VW mechanics


I have used two places for my VW. The first, Bastone on East Carron
behind the Revco on S.Highland, is not officially a VW place, but one of
the mechanics there knows enough and is prepared to look up in the right places
so he can fix most things (so he claims). He was quite good with my minor repairs, and not too expensive. If you have anything major or want a guaranteed
job at higher prices, the VW dealer McGee Volkswagen on West Liberty Ave
(through the Tubes) is probably best. They did some body work for me quite
well. Ted McWilliams in Monroeville has a more variable reputation, so I have
heard, and I've never tried there.
