Subject: car repair

Based on Bovik's recommendation I tried Morningside Auto. They are
awful. They stripped the threads on the carburator, got the car
horribly out of tune and put an oil filter on incorrectly. All this
while just doing an inspection and changing the oil.

Since then I've been going to the Playhouse Exxon (next to the
playhouse theater). So far I have had them do a tuneup (to make the
car run again after Morningside mangled it), replace a clutch cable
(they got the part in two days which is a pretty good trick since my
car is a 1970 Opel), and replace a broken fuel line. Not particularly
cheap or expensive but as far as I can tell perfectly honest and
competent.
