Subject: Ford Dealer Service
Message-Id: <1988.3.1.21.37.2.Hank.Walker@taurus>

I have taken my 1987 Ford Taurus sedan to service at two dealers:
Ramsey-Sturman Ford off Lebanon Church Road near Century III, and Target
Ford on Business 22 in Monroeville. They are both far away, and in both
cases I have received unsatisfactory service. Ramsey-Sturman took several
tries to solve an electrical problem, and they never did solve an idling
problem. They would also not try to fix some things that I asked to be
fixed. Target Ford tried to fix everything I asked to be fixed, but in some
cases they made a problem worse, not better. All of the problems that the
two dealers dealt with are easily repeated, not intermittent.

I would recommend against taking your Ford car to either dealer. There is a
new Ford dealership at Baum and Negley owned by McKean that may provide
better service. If not, at least it's closer to school.
