Bill --

The LXi Hatchback is what we have, and I'm happy with it.
The goofs are really minor, and in my experience of the sort to be expected
with any new car: (1) stick driver's side door; (2) minor clutch pedal
adjustment; (3) carpeting on back of rear seat not fastened down fully;
(4) a nut rattling around looking like it might have falled off something
(probably just an extra left in the car during assembly).

w/r Ziebart, and rustproofing, it seems to be generally agreed that
"rustproofing" applied by dealers is is useless or worse: the technique
they use for drilling the chasis access holes CAUSES rust. Ziebart seems
to have technique, training, and materials to apply a parafin based material
(in contrast to the asphalt-like stuff most dealers apply) that does afford
some protection. The Biaerl (sp?) package included rustproofing, a seat
covering protectant (some silicone?) with an amazing guarantee about stain
repelling, and an exterior paint sealer, all by Ziebart.
