Subject: Subaru Repair
Message-ID: <6619.483589283.rds.CS.CMU.EDU>

Appended are the responses I got when I requested recommendations about
Subaru repair. Previously I had been to Yenko Subura in Dormont, and found
them to be ok but not wonderful. This time I went to Bianchi Subaru out in
Holiday Park, and I found them to be better than Yenko and I was satisfied
with the service I got. Maybe next time I'll try North Hills Subaru out in
Wexford.

I have had good results from the North Hills Subaru people in Wexford. In
addition to myself, two other Subaru owners from around CMU get there's worked
on there. The cost tends to be a bit less, and the prices for standard things
(alignment, oil change, tune-up, etc) is published in a 'menu' for those
interested. The last work I had done was during the day with me sitting
there -- they were sensitive to my time and worked quickly and throughly.
And best of all, the work is competently done.

The principal disadvantage is the distance from the Eastend. Using an
optimal (read baroque) route, it takes me about 30 minutes to get there. A
less optimal route is up I79 to the Wexford (PA 910) exit, east on PA 910
till intersecting with US 19, then south. North Hills Subaru is some distance
(2 mile?) down the road on the west side.

Robert;

I use Bianchi Subaru (out near Monroeville on Rt. 286 in Plum Boro).
They have good prices, good mechanics, and have ALWAYS delt with me fairly.
And I'm hard to please. They are not that far out of the way (just past the end
of Parkway east). I can give you details of you like.
