Regarding: Message from Ken Wertz at CMU-CS-A of 23 Sep 83 15:15:00 EDT

Ken,
The H-19 is no longer made. It's upgrade is the Z-29 or H-29.
(H means HeathKIT form, and Z means Zenith Assembled). The Z-29 is
not a 'toy.' Some CS people anything under the size of a VAX a toy...
I would suggest waiting to see what this person's needs are in Canada.
They could be using non-1200 baud dialups, or a Racal-Vadic protocol.
Also, the systems that he might use MIGHT not support the Z-29.

Here at CMU, the Comp Center sells NEW guarenteed equipment.
If any of it breaks, he could get it repaired anywhere in Canada
and send CMU the bill if it breaks during the warrentee period (subject
to approval, of course). Lots of students at CMU get either the ZT-1
or the Z-29/Smart-Cat combination. Enclosed is a price list.
