In case people ask you PC-buying questions (I don't know if there's a
central point of knowledge), I have and am pleased with a ViewSonic 17G
monitor.  In addition, the people at the company are polite and
friendly (I had to call to get sync pulse widths for X).

Litek in Monroeville carries them, though I got mine with a machine
from Dell, who are also polite and careful (the machine ships with
documentation on how to install or jumper anything you could ever
want).  I think Dell is noticeably on-the-ball than Gateway, though
they cost a little more.
