I heard two good suggestions: 

- Grep through /../pt/usr/netnews/uumap/u.usa.xx.*, where xx abbreviates
a US state (Thanks to Stuart Clamen)

- Check out comp.mail.maps (/../pt/usr/netnews/spool/news/comp/mail/maps) 
for the raw host information.  Scott Robinson sent me some code to
automatically maintain a database from these posts. (see
/../f/usr/mleone/src/company).
