Several people have recently requested info on using sheets of sound
absorbing foam to cut down on noise levels from workstation fans and
disks.  I've had good success using using the foam from Markertek.
(Warning: It's important that you don't block the air flow to and from
your equipment -- just get the foam between you and the noise.)  Here's
how to order:

Call Markertek at 1-800-522-2025 and ask for 1 sheet (54" x 54" x 2") of
MF-3 Markerfoam.  Available in grey or blue.  Cost is about $20 plus $4.50
shipping.
