Subject: Linotronic Typographic Facility

How to use the LTF (Linotronic Typographic Facility):

We can process any PostScript, TeX, Scribe, Macintosh, or TROFF output and
typeset it on camera-ready paper at 1270 ldpi for $4 per 8.5x11 page (CMU
internal rates -- if you need work for your own commercial use it's $8/page)

Just stop by at Baker Hall 140-b-2 or call x-5659 weekdays 1pm-5pm.

Bring your Macintosh disk, or tell us where to get your file on the campus
network (FTP & etc.) and we can have most jobs done in three hours (less
than 30 pages.)

There is an additional charge for operator time of $10/hour for any work
we have to do past an initial free 30 minutes. This does not include
printing or developing time; that's included with the $4/page.

When you pick up your galleys, you may pay with cash, check, money order,
CMU charge account number (with a $1 processing fee) or establish an
account with us.

That's all. By the way, campus printing charges $55/hr for typesetting.
Most printers charge $40-$80/hr.

Thanks,

:James
