They are very good.  They showed "Children of a Lesser God" a couple yearsago and "Nuts", with Helena Ruoti, earlier this year.  
The audience sits very close to the actors--some seats are only a few feet away.Very vigorous, and comparable to Pittsburgh Public Theater in quality if
not in resources.

we subscribed to their series last year.  overall, i was very pleased.
the productions varied in quality from ok to really good (no excellents,
though).  the selection of plays tends to the conservative.  i would 
recommend subscribing, it's cheap and only a short walk from cmu.
